My First Quilt

OK So several weeks ago. I was skimming through YouTube Crafting tutorials and came across this wonderful Lady, Vanessa Wilson, The Crafty Gemini ( Link to her Blog )

So after a week She posted a video on the Victorian Modern Quilt Along. I watched the first one and found it interesting. It wasn't until after the 2nd video where she explains how to cut and sew the pieces that I began digging through my stash of Scraps. I was rather lucky to have just enough to do the two sets of Squares and they all match each other!

The strips that I put around these piece however were a mismatch of Odd material I had laying around! Although I was Fortunate to have enough of the Red hearts to make a border around the whole thing :) Many thanks to my Aunt who let me borrow her table to get the layout correct for sewing later :)

My friends Cats wanted inspect my work.
Please note the mix of boarders.

When I get the completed quilt laid out I'll snap a photo and add it here later :)

Pizza Balls!!!

OK  So circulating its way around Facebook recently, Someone "shared"  this web page:

http://modernmommyhood.com/2012/06/pizza-balls-recipe.html

Those looked SOOOOOO GOOD!!!  that, or I was just in an "I want pizza"  mood.  So I Asked my friend if I could come over and borrow her kitchen and she and I have a nice lunch/dinner.  She was on board and was curious to see what a pizza ball was.

So here's our adventure with the recipie!  1st up, getting everything we will need together!

Egg in a cup, muffin pan, no stick spray, & recipe
(Ragu sauce far in the back)

Grands Biscuits, Turkey Pepperoni, Colby and mozzarella cheese.
The Amber glass was our rolling pin  ;D
(Ignore the banana's they wanted a cameo)

Sorry I forgot to take pictures during the making process,
but we added Ragu INSIDE the ball and for dipping.

OH such golden brown goodness!!  Well, except the three
that had a cheesy explosion on the muffin pan.

Here they are more presentable for consumption :)

Finally  it was served with a side salad with Balsamic Raspberry Vinagarette,  and spoonful of Ragu sauce for dipping the pizza balls!

Over all this was a success, we did however discover that there was MORE bread than anything else.  Next time we are going for the layered Grands biscuits and using half of a biscuit at a time.  Also maybe rub the seasonings into the dough itself.  We will see :)  However we did also discuss other yummy recipes that would work with this aside from pepperoni and Cheese ;)  However!  that's for another Blog :)

Young Entrepreneurs

On the way home today I drove by a handful of boys holding signs and yelling out "LEMONADE FIFTY CENTS!!"  I had to stop and buy a cup.  I gave them $1 and took a cup of pink lemonade.  They made an extra Fifty Cents off me :)  It has been years since I've seen any kids selling and making lemonade on the side of the road.  I asked them what they were selling the Lemonade for and one told me "To make money"  apparently there wasn't anything specific they were saving it for, just wanted some extra spending money :)  So while I was there, another gentleman also gave them $1 for a cup giving them another fifty cents extra profit.

Talking to Myself?

I ran out this afternoon to the bank, buy some stamps, and get a bite to eat at my Favorite Buffett resturant, Sumo.  While changing lanes on the way to the post office I spoke out loud "We need to be in the other lane."   it took a few moments to pass before i had to think "Who was I talking to?"  I was by myself in the Car.  My only Answer was that I was speaking to the memories of the people I care dearly for. Loved ones that have passed on, and my Precious pets that have Crossed the rainbow Bridge. They are in my heart, and their memories are with me more and more as I get older.

So if you ever find your talking to yourself when you are alone, remember that  loved ones no longer with us are still with you, even when changing the lanes in traffic.

Ice Queen Mask 3rd Attempt! (Possibly Final)

To Those new to reading this, I ask you to please visit, this Blog First:  **1st Attempt**
Then Follow up with the Next Vlog **2nd Attempt**

Now that you've been refreshed on my past attempts, which didn't turn out to bad.  I give you the steps at my 3rd Attempt.  I bought a Full female face mask from The Spirit Store.

*kinda creepy huh?*

I tested it with the hot glue on a cheek and let it cool.  It Peeled off Ok, litte bit of tugging,  was a bit of a hassle really.  So I had the bright idea of smearing a little bit of lotion on the other cheek and trying a test with the hot glue. *Insert Chore singing*  That peeled off rather easily. So then after coating the area around the eyes with lotion, I began again on a new mask. It came out pretty darn nice.  There was a spot where it was difficult to peel off the mask, but not time consuming like the first two attempts.

I did the same painting from my 2nd Attempt for this one, and while you can't see it, there is a hint of blue on the edges.

WOW WAXELENE!!

I know my little blog won't mean a lot to anyone but the small few that do read it.  Still I wanted to share this product with you!  I've recently been getting a Conscious Box  from http://www.consciousbox.com/  they give you this wonderful box with an inspirational card and products that are more green.  They stuff it with Samples of Food, snacks, supplements, beauty products, and more!!  This last conscious box I've been enjoying very much! There's a pack of Brownies to make that are microwavable!!

HOWEVER!! I'm wanting to Promote (Without sponsorship)  Waxelene!  it's a natural alternative to Petroleum Jelly (a.k.a. Vaseline)  It's ingredients are listed as Organic Soy Oil,  Beeswax, Natural Vitamin E Oil, Organic Rosemary Oil.    That's it!!  No strange words that take 5 minutes to decipher!  and let me tell you it smells just a little like Honey!!  It also feels GREAT!!  Not too greasy but a light film on the skin, but it feels good, NOT greasy!!

I LOVE IT!!  OMG!!  I will be ordering this in the future!!  I also wish I could get these little sample packs so I can give them out to friends!!  Well That's all I wanted to rave about for now!

I will be posting the results soon of my 3rd attempt of the "DIY ice Queen Mask"  from my previous Blogs.  I am REALLY pleased this time!
